The Chairman of ONNA Local Government Area, Hon. Kufre Umoren has assured members of staff of the council of his administration’s commitment to providing them with a conducive working environment for effective delivery of their services.

The Chairman gave the assurance on Thursday, 10th October, 2024, while on a tour of an on-the-spot assessment of the offices and non office structure within the ONNA Council Secretariat.

Hon. Umoren was accompanied by the Vice Chairman, Hon. Mfon Uko, Head of Council (HoC), Mr Iniobong Udo, the Director of Works, Engr. Ubong Essien and other senior staff of the local government. The inspection commenced at the Udom Emmanuel Legislative Chamber, where the Council Chairman emphasized the importance of maintaining functional and orderly facilities for effective governance.

During the tour, Hon. Umoren visited newly completed offices earmarked for various agencies and committed to allocating them soon to enhance operational efficiency within the council.

The inspection continued to the Administrative Block, where the Chairman stressed the pressing need for upgrades to meet modern work standards. He assured staff that plans were underway to upgrade all offices, promising a more conducive working environment.

“We cannot allow our facilities to fall into disrepair. It is important that we create a work atmosphere that promotes productivity and reflects our commitment to public service,” Umoren stated.

This proactive approach marks a positive start for the new administration, signaling Hon. Umoren’s commitment to improving local governance and infrastructure in ONNA Local Government Area.
