Air Peace, Oshiomhole airport incident under probe
The Federal Government has ordered a thorough investigation into the incident leading to public altercation between Air Peace and Senator Adams Oshiomhole at the Lagos airport on Wednesday.
In a release issued this Friday, the Minister of Aviation, Festus Keyamo, disclosed that he has been in direct contact with both parties since the incident occurred.
The minister however appealed to both parties to stop the public accusations and counter-accusations and directed the relevant agencies to seek strategic evidence and report back to his office.
According to him, the findings will help guide future conduct in similar situations.
“I also directed the aviation agencies to exercise restraint in jumping to conclusions, in line with the time-honoured legal principle of ‘hear all sides’ before reaching judgment,” the Minister wrote on X.
