Tinubu Lost Opportunity To Restore Fubara As Gov — Expert • Channels Television

A communication expert, Sarah Chidiebere Joe, says President Bola Tinubu’s June 12 Democracy Day speech was a missed opportunity for him to have restored Siminalayi Fubara as governor of Rivers State. 

The lecturer, who teaches at the Rivers State University, says President Tinubu should have restored Fubara —suspended by the Nigerian leader —while speaking to a joint session of the National Assembly.

Tinubu suspended Fubara for six months owing to the political crisis in Rivers State.

However, Joe, who featured on Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily on Friday, believes that in the spirit of the Democracy Day event, the president ought to have reinstated Fubara on June 12.
