Abia Govt vows to reward partners of it’s vision
The General Manager of Abia State Debt Management Office (DMO) Dr. K.O Nwaigburu says the Dr Alex Otti administration recognizes and rewards the efforts of well meaning individuals, organizations, groups that partnering with it to actualize it’s vision.
Dr. Nwaigburu made this known at SS Peter and Paul Catholic Parish Mbutu Ngwa in Isiala Ngwa South LGA diring the presentation of one hundred thousand naira cash support to each beneficiary under the Okenze Godwin and Lolo Agunwanyi Agomuo Eduvation Support to over fifty undergraduates to facilitate their final year clearance bin their various higher institutions.
He described Sir Godwin and his wife Lady Agunwanyi Agomuo as people of impeccable record and goodwill which they exemplified through job creation, education support and other selfless services to the people and urged the beneficiaries to be grateful and channel the funds appropriately.
In his speech, the sponsor of the educational support grant, Sir Godwin Agomuo and his wife Lady Agunwanyi Agomuo pointed out that the challenging experiences they had while seeing themselves through school pushed them to give support to young people who are in dire need of achieving their educational goals.
Sir and Lady Agomuo used the opportunity to thank some individual including Dr. K.O Nwaigburu, comrade Godswill Ochor, Samuel Atulegwu, Chief Victor Eneogwe, Mr. Ahamba Ahamdi, Elder Ebere Adiele, members of the screening panel including Mr. Christopher Chigbu and Mr. Jude Enweremadu, the Parish SS Peter and Paul Mbutu the Rev. Father Parish as well as other stakeholders in Mbutu and Isiala Ngwa South in general for their support in various ways.
Speaking on behalf of other beneficiaries of the Okenze Education Support Fund, Ugonna Kanu appreciated Sir and Lady Agomuo for their benevolence promising not to disappoint them.
In a sermon earlier, the assistant parish priest, the Rev.Father Clinton Mbuba described the holy eucharist as the mother of all sacraments in the catholic church which must be respected and honoured as it signifies the sacrifice of the body and blood of Jesus Christ.
