3RD EDITION OF FRANK ARCHIBONG CLASSICAL SONG COMPETITION ENDS IN A GRAND STYLE
… As Qua Iboe Church Ikot Ibiok recorded historic victory
It was glitz and glamour during the third edition of the CLASSICAL SONG COMPETITION, tagged: RT HON. FRANK ARCHIBONG’s CUP, the epoch making event took place on Sunday 15 September, 2024 at The Apostolic Church, Great Ukwa Assembly, Eket – Oron Road.
The event recorded a mammoth crowd of levites drawn across churches from Eket Federal Constituency and other guest choirs. The classical song competition also featured intercessory prayers, special performances and exhortation in hymns.
Addressing the congregation, Comrade Nsikan Simon, the event coordinator, a man of goodwill, a former President of Esit Eket Students Association World Wide and a councillorship aspirant of ward five in the just concluded PDP Primaries in Esit Eket LGA, appreciated God for the huge success recorded from the first and second edition of the event, he also showed gratitude for the massive turn out in the third edition irrespective of the economic challenges.
He specifically appreciated their patron Rt Hon Frank Archibong (UFAN NDITO IKWO) for his invaluable contributions to alleviating poverty from amongst his people and his continuous support in the choir fold and Christendom at large, most specially, the continuous hosting of Eket Christmas carol, human capital development and community services. He further thanked him for his magnanimous achievements and prayed God to continually bless him in all his sacrifices to humanity.
Mr Nsikan also described the governor, His Excellency Pst Umo Eno as a philanthropical leader who prioritizes the well being of his people above everything.
He also appreciated their patron,( Mkpouto Ndito Ikwo) Rt Hon Okpolupm Etteh for his good representation and humanitarian services to his constituents, hence promise to ensure the Levites’ support to them at all times.
He also encouraged the choirs to see the competition beyond the physical but should view from the spiritual perspective also.
He strongly reiterated that the gathering of the Levites is also a medium for continued support and solidarity to our patrons and governor, he ended.
In his remarks, Comrade Mfon Bassey, Special Assistant to the Governor on Media commended Mkpisong Frank Archibong for his lofty initiative of bringing the levites together to sing and glorify the name of the almighty God. He further thanked the Governor, Pastor Umo Eno for keeping faith with Frank Archibong as a member of his cabinet who has touched lives with people oriented initiatives.
As a loyal servant and lover of songs, Mr Bassey promised to partner with Hon Frank Archibong and also lend his support during the fourth edition.
Similarly, as a core supporter of Governor Umo Eno’s Arise Agenda, he urged the choristers to continue supporting the Arise Agenda of our Governor, the first family, Akwa Ibom State and Nigeria

Pst Eyo Eshiet In his homily preached on the theme (Hosanna), charged the congregation of levites to sing with purity of hearts as this will open doors for more spiritual upgrade and further attract blessings to the choir fold
At the end of the choir contest, Qua Iboe Church Ikot Ibiok, retained the first position spot, while Victorious Family International emerged runners up and the Apostolic Church royal uqua assembly took third position.
In his remarks, The chief adjudicator Pst Emmanuel Ekom, a Masters Degree holder in music from Lagos acknowledged the ideas of gathering together the Levites from different churches across the constituency and termed it a unique gesture. He Judged alongside Pst Joseph Akpan, a renowned music icon who conducted the 9999 Akwa Ibom State Christmas carol for many years and Elder Gospel Isaac (JP) fondly called “De Pro” from Akwa Ibom State Promise Land Chorale.
The highpoint of the event was the presentation of trophy, cash award and consolation prizes to the winners and participating choirs across the constituency.
The event also featured, praise and worship, choir ministration, admonition and prayers for Akwa Ibom State.
