His Royal Majesty, Eze Dr Patrick O Ogbuagu, the Ezeaja of Nkporo will be laid to rest on the 2nd of January, 2024.
Leading a delegation of stakeholders in Nkporo Ancient Kingdom to the Abia State House of Assembly, the Chairman, Ohafia Local Government Council of Traditional Rulers, His Royal Highness Eze Hon Ambassador Arunsi Nwankwo Uka and Iwo 2 of Agboha-Oha Autonomous Community, Okwoko Nkporo, Ohafia Local Government Area, made this known during his visit to the Speaker, 8th Assembly, Rt Hon Emmanuel Emeruwa and other Principal Officers of same House.
Eze Nwankwo also commended the configuration of the crop of Legislators in the 8th Abia Legislature and conveyed royal blessings on the leadership, saluting the spring of synergy between the Executive and the Legislature.
In his earlier contribution,one of the delegates, Onyeze Henry Ndukwe Orji, former General Manager, Abia State Road Maintenance Agency said the demised Eze Patrick O Ogbuagu was well known to Governor Alex Otti and was till his demise a consistent advocate of transparency in governance and accountability to the people, beseeching the leadership of the Abia State House of Assembly to oblige the Ezeaja in Council in conjunction with Nkporo Traditional Rulers Council and Nkporo Development Union to lay the departed Royal Father to rest in a manner befitting of his status.
Notable among Principal Officers of the House of Assembly who were present during the visit include the Deputy Speaker, Rt Hon Augustine Okezie, Leader, Hon Uchenna Okoro Kalu, Chief Whip, Hon Emeka Tommy Obioma and the galvanizer of the visit, Hon Kalu Mba Nwoke, Member, Ohafia South State Constituency.
Elder Hon Ifegwu Chukwu, the Ezeaja in Council Palace Secretary was also in attendance.
