AKS: NON INDIGENE COMMENDS GOV UMO ENO FOR AN ALL INCLUSIVE GOVERNANCE, YOUTH EMPOWERMENT
The leadership of the non Indigene forum in Akwa Ibom State has commended Governor Umo Eno for an all inclusive governance and youth empowerment witnessed across the State
The forum made their position known during the youth appreciation rally, organized by Governor Umo Eno on Tuesday 10 September, 2024, at Uyo township stadium
Speaking during the rally, Mr Emmanuel Ogbole, Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on non indigene affairs, flanked by Arewa Community, Igbo , Yoruba, and other communities from the Niger Delta region, eulogized Pastor Umo Eno for running an all inclusive governance irrespective of party, tribe or religion
He thanked the Governor for initiating numerous life touching programmes for youths in Akwa Ibom State as witnessed through; , training and empowerment of 1200 beneficiaries through IBOM LED, appointment of youths into strategic positions, establishment of Ibom watch and monthly grants to 5000 youths
Mr Ogbole appreciated Pastor Umo Eno for initiating a 200 million interest – free loan to the Arewa Community, and other non indigene communities in the State and most recently the launch of employment portal for youths data aggregation and employment, stressing that this gesture will go a long way in solving the problems of employment occasioned in our locality
He showered encomium on Pastor Umo Eno for his visionary approach to governance.
Ogbole said, we are proud of your visionary approach to governance, especially as it concerns the youth and people at the rural communities
He lauded Governor Umo Eno for appointing the non indigene as SSA, SA and other notable positions of authority and reiterated their unwavering support and commitment to Governor Umo Eno and his Arise Agenda
Addressing newsmen, Alhaji Ibrahim IIiya, Special Assistant to the Governor on Arewa Community described the Governor as a father, whose benevolence is spread across board
He thanked the Governor for always carrying them along and assured the people of a sustained cordial relationship between the non indigene and Akwa Ibom people
“As non indigene, we will strive to ensure that there is a sustained cordial relationship between the non indigene and the diverse ethnic nationalities in Akwa Ibom State.
Other representatives of non indigene from Igbo, Yoruba and Niger Delta region, pledged their unalloyed support to Pastor Umo Eno’s administration and his Arise Agenda initiative.
They promised to stand firm and canvass more support for Governor Umo Eno come 2027 and beyond.
