The Akwa Ibom State Christian Leadership Advisory Council (AKSCLAC) shared fun moments yesterday with His Grace, Most Rev’d Dr Joseph Effiong Ekuwem at his residence in Calabar amidst ongoing 75th birthday celebration of the erudite clergyman.

It was a special moment for Archbishop Ekuwem to receive a delegation of AKSCLAC which he presides over as Chairman.

Exchanging banters with Archbishop Ekuwem, the Rt. Rev’d Barr. Otuekong Ukut, PhD and Archbishop Dr. Emma Gospel Isong and Rev’d Ima Nkanta savoured with AKSCLAC’s Chairman the joys of being alive, healthy and purposeful.

Archbishop Emma Isong, lauded Ekuwem’s sense of simplicity despite his towering influence, his deep philosophical insight and understanding of ecclesiastical leadership, which have helped him to record landmark achievements over the years in the Catholic mission.

Archbishop Emma Isong who led in prayers for Ekuwem, on behalf of AKSCLAC, wished Archbishop Ekuwem more fruitful years of service to humanity and the kingdom.

Meanwhile, Rev’d Ima Nkanta, AKSCLAC’s Secretary, conveyed the love, best wishes and prayers of Prelate Prof. Isaiah Isong, Ekuwem’s Vice Chairman 1 and all members of AKSCLAC to the all – vivacious and jovial Archbishop Joseph Ekuwem.

However, till he receives approval for disengagement, all hands are still on deck, while praying for a divinely chosen successor, which will lead up to a major event of installation and enthronement of his successor in future.
