Akwa Ibom lawmaker, Hon. Udobia Empowers 25 Constituents With N100,000 each
In fulfillment of his promise to Ntak Inyang small and medium scale businessmen and women, the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly member representing Esit Eket/Ibeno State Constituency, Hon. Udobia Friday recently empowered 25 of his constituents with N100,000 each.
According to the house member, who was represented during the presentation of the financial support ceremony on Sunday, April 20, 2025, by Mr. Kingsley Ime Ita, he stated that the money is meant to encourage entrepreneurs in Ntak Inyang, and to discourage idleness, noting that, as inscribed in his campaign manifesto, as well as in consonant with the ARISE AGENDA of Governor Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom State, which supports entrepreneurs, promised to continue to support small-scale business owners in his constituency.
He, therefore, urged them to make judicious use of the cash presented to them and ensure its multiplication in their businesses in order to attract more support.
In his remarks, the Political Leader of Zone C, Mr. Utitofon Edoho, who was represented by Mr. Imo Etim Ima, appreciated Hon. Friday Udobia for keeping to the promise he made to Ntak Inyang people on his birthday, assuring him that for supporting Ntak Inyang people in a time they were in dire need of financial support, the people of the area will reciprocate same to him in due time.
The Zonal Leader, in his words of admonishment to his constituents, urged the beneficiaries of the final support not to squander the money, but invest it to expand their businesses, urging those who were not among the beneficiaries to celebrate with those who have benefited as they stand to be among beneficiaries in the future.
It could be recalled that on the 2024 birthday anniversary of Mr. Utitofon Edoho, where he empowered Ntak Inyang youth and market women with motorcycles, cash, and POS start-ups in an elaborate event, the Esit Eket/Ibeno state constituency representative, Hon. Udobia Friday attended the event and seized the opportunity to announce and pledged to support the effort of the Zone C Leader to his people, that he would support 25 traders from Ntak Inyang community.
Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, Mr. Emem Etim Mathew and Mrs Iniobong Okon Edoho, thanked Hon. Udobia for the financial assistance to support small businesses in Ntak Inyang, promising to reciprocate his gesture at the right time.
They also thanked the Zone C Political leader, Mr. Utitofon Edoho at whose instance the promise was made, praying God to bless him and give him long life to continue impacting positively on the lives of his people.
