MUSING ON A SUNDAY MORNING

The political circle is very unpredictable, funny as it were, populated by opportunists and leeches, waiting in vampiric dimensions to pounce and bare their fangs with the intention to devour.

Today, the nectar of attraction is buzzing, not surprisingly anyways and this piece is centred on the need for open arms anyways but tact is of the essence because wisdom is profitable to direct!

Rt Hon Benjamin Kalu , the Deputy Speaker, Federal House of Representatives, National Assembly, Nigeria, has endeared himself to many, friends and hitherto foes alike, who felt Obi shall remain a boy in perpetuity.

As it shall always be, God’s glory cannot be shared with any mortal. The Igbo nomenclature, CHIJIOKE, philosophical as it is mystical, like ONYEMA, shall suffice to elucidate on this emerging enigma, BENJAMIN OKEZIE KALU.

He has, not surprisingly though, become a beautiful bride every suitor is attracted to. Alluring and enchanting. Is it not?

But can those who truthfully or hypocritically eulogize him today endure what he endured in the hands of the “Clan of Okoro Eto”, who masticated and emasculated the political rite of passage of this emerging Statesman, for close to 20 years?

Yet BENJAMIN KALU did not utter a word in antagonistic disposition or confrontation.

Yes, one’s name has a way of aligning with one’s destiny. What is the meaning of the name BENJAMIN? Tracing from the Aramaic or Hebrew etymology, ‘Ben’ or ‘Ibn’ means ‘Son of’ and ‘Jamin’, pronounced Yamin, means ‘Right Hand’ or ‘Right Arm’! Put the two together then.

The strength of God’s right arm held this dude and believe this, this is just his starting point as Nigeria is yet to hear him.

His travails, politically speaking were much yet he persevered. Today, what is, is what is.

BENJAMIN KALU should be a School of Thought for one who is called to service.

Endurance, perseverance, patience and at the end, glory is what this leader embodies.

I g’enwelikwa ndidi?
