EKET COUNCIL BOSS PARTNERS FIDA FOR THE CARE OF THE VULNERABLES

The most vulnerable persons, including children, men and women in Eket Local Government Area have come under the searchlight of Eket Council Chairman, Rt Hon Akaniyene Tommey.
The Local Government Chairman, in collaboration with International Federation Of Women Lawyers (FIDA), Eket Chapter, has concluded plans to ensure that vulnerable persons in the society gets the needed support for their survival.
The decision was reached during a courtesy call on the Chairman by members of FIDA yesterday in his office.
“As a Patron of FIDA Eket, I was eager to engage with this remarkable group of individuals. Our meeting was truly enlightening, focusing on the lives and advocacy of our community’s most vulnerable members – women, children, and men in need”,
“We delved into critical issues such as combating gender-based violence, safeguarding child protection, and supporting the female wing of correctional centers”, the Chairman said.
“I am thrilled that these passions align perfectly with those of my wife, Maryann. Our exchange of ideas was incredibly fruitful, and I look forward to forging a robust partnership with FIDA Eket to serve the people of Eket”,
