EX GOV EMMANUEL SOLICITS UNWAVERING SUPPORT FOR GOV ENO

harps on need to sow into growth of God’s Ministry

Immediate past Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Udom Emmanuel, has further wooed support for his successor Governor Umo Eno, soliciting for vote of confidence on him by the State House of Assembly.

At the VIP Service of the Gospel Foundation Mission, Etinan, Mr. Emmanuel who was awed by the large presence of members of the State House of Assembly, said they should used the opportunity of the unity and love among the members to vote in support of the second term of the Governor.

He reiterated the dire need for constant prayers and sustained faith in God and urged Christians to continually pray for leadership, using as a contact point, the Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pst. Umo Eno.

He called for deliberate efforts to develop immediate environments, special prayers and sustained faith in God.

The former Governor called on Christians not to be discouraged from sowing into God’s ministry, as those, according to him, are sources of personal and communal advancement.

“It is only when Satan sees a process that is working for the children of God, that he devises means of thwarting it.

“Apart from the dead and resurrection of Christ, the only thing that works for man, is sowing in God’s house.”
He said most times even non-Christians sow in church and get benefits which are unimaginable.

“The other day, a non Christian on hearing of a crusade in one church, sent a truck of food items. When he gets the blessings for that seed he sowed, people will say but he is not even a Christian how come he is so rich?”

Mr Emmanuel who said his first ever visit to the church was a fulfillment of the promise he had earlier made, congratulated the church’s leadership on their milestone achievements and charged them not to derail in their primary purpose towards individuals and the society at large.

In her remarks, Dr. Mrs. Martha Udom Emmanuel, wife of the immediate past Governor, thanked the Church for their prayers and donated to the different folds of the church for their unwavering support to her family, women and society.

In her sermon, themed “The Power of Prayers”, the General Overseer of Gospel Foundation Mission (GFM), Etinan, Bishop Dr. Enobong Essien nudged the congregation on the need to cast all their cares to God in prayer and never rely on human capabilities and permutations. The woman of God admonished all to pray without ceasing: always and everywhere, and recommended the need for submission to superior spiritual authorities for guidance and support.

The VIP service which featured presentation of a leadership award to the former Governor was attended by persons from all walks of life.
