GIFA: ESIT EKET COUNCIL BOSS LAUDS LADY HELEN OBAREKI ON MEDICAL OUTREACH
…Commends Gov Umo Eno’s efforts towards improved healthcare delivery in A’Ibom
The Chairman of Esit Eket Local Government Area, Hon. Mrs. Uduak Ikemesit Ikot, has lauded the First Lady Designate, Mrs. Helen Eno Obareki, for her remarkable efforts in organizing a one-day Medical Outreach for the people of Eket Senatorial District.
Speaking at the Esit Eket council Secretariat, Uquo, the Council Boss acknowledged Obareki’s continued support for humanity and continuation of her mother’s vision, noting her effort at disease control, good healthcare services and support for children and the elderly.
Ikot commended the coordinator of the office of the First Lady, Mrs. Obareki, for choosing Esit Eket as the host local government in the senatorial district. Furthermore, Ikot highlighted the continuous support of the Governor, HE, Pastor Umo Eno, in healthcare services, which she described as significant, and has yielded tangible results within and outside the state.
While addressing the beneficiaries, the Special Assistant to the Governor on General Duties, Pastor (Dr) Anne Abraham said GIFA, which is an acronym for Golden Initiative For All, is a non-profit organisation that aims to complement the efforts of the government by undertaking various programmes and projects that supports, promotes and improves the lives of women, children, and the vulnerable in the state.
