The Abia State House of Assembly has been lauded for it’s proactivity to ensuring speedy Legislative intervention is brought to bare to profer lasting solutions where needed.
HRH Eze Engr Okey A Udeh, Nkala Ukwu of Umunnekwu Agbor Community in Isuikwuato Local Government Area made the remark when the Abia State House of Assembly Committee on Environment and Urban Renewal visited him during their On-the-Spot assessment of erosion sites in the Local Government.
Eze Udeh hinted that his community is worst hit with the largest erosion sites with destroyed an entire Secondary School and the fast deteriorating Ndi Ochor and Iyi Achara, seeking Legislative intervention to save the community from being completely separated from the entire Isuikwuato Local Government.
Responding, the Chairman, Abia State House of Assembly Committee on Environment and Urban Renewal, Hon Kalu Mba Nwoke assured the Royal Father that the Alex Otti led Administration is a listening government and will do the needful to ensuring the needful is done, following budgetary allocations.
Among the personalities present during the visit include High Chief Chidi Ogboku who is Adviser, Information and Strategy to Air Vice Marshall Chinwendu Onyike, Mayor, Isuikwuato Local Government Area.
