Ibekwe Chimdi Nnamdi, Member, Bende North State Constituency in the Abia State House of Assembly has enumerated his achievements within his Ist Year in the State Legislature, stating that those modest inroads shall do further highlights themselves, given the antecedents in Umunna.
The House Committee Chairman on Finance further stated that his style of politics is beyond exaggerations, adding that improving the quality of lives of his Constituents remain paramount.
Interacting with Staffers of Bende North extraction in the Abia State House of Assembly on his One Year Anniversary, Hon Ibekwe informed that following he support so far recieved for Ndi Umunna from far and near has further humbled him to continuously reaffirming his resolve to contributing to deepening quality representation.
Among those ‘modest achievements’ include the verifiable underlisted:
■Carried out light up Umunna programme wherein solar lights were installed.
■Construction of 250 meters with 23 meters culvert erosion control drainage at Umuenyere Alayi.
■Establishment of an endowment fund in Abia State University.
■Establishment education Endowment fund pan Bende North.
■Conduction of several trainings on modern agriculture methods.
■Conducted the first ever official kick-off of planting season in the constituency with distribution of various seedlings pan Bende North.
■Intervention on Ugwueke Akaeze crisis.
■Grading of Ameke ltem Road.
■Attracted the grading of Okai- Ugwueke Road.
■Training on bricks making for youths pan Bende North
Donations of improved cassava stems to the women.
■Promotion of Bende North/call for investment in renewable energy/power sector investment to the global community.
■Proposed motions, bills, and matters of urgent public importance pan Abia and Bende North in particular.
■Made several documented/published intellectual contributions on good governance.
■Building a house for a widow at Umuobasi Amankalu .
Enrolment of 31 students for the ongoing first school leaving certificate.
