Senator Ekong Sampson’s impactful investment in Akwa Ibom South
The Senator representing Akwa Ibom South, Dr Ekong sampson’s continuous investment in the Senatorial District and her people deserves to be celebrated and commended.
The latest being the effective training of Journalists and media practitioners from the Senatorial District to sharpen their skills and upgrade their knowledge to meet up with the 21 century demands.
The event which took place at Watbridge Hotels and Suites, Monday 21 October had famous teachers of communication, including the Dean of Communication Art, University of Uyo, Prof. Peter Esuh, Dr Udeme Nana, Dr Abasifreke Idiong and Prof Des Wilson, also in attendance, was the Senior Special Assistant to Akwa Ibom State Governor on Research and Documentations, Dr Essien Ekefre Ndueso as moderator.
The Workshop afforded media professionals to update their skills to meet up with current demands, understand the place of AI and the proper way of utilisation of content creation for media marketing and promotional activities for a better job improvement.
This is one of the several human capacity developments embarked on by the distinguished senator aimed at training and equipping about 1000 people in Mining, tailoring, confectionery, ICT and other areas of endeavours.
It is worth noting that aside from the constant investment on the people by the senator, he has been very vibrant at the plenary by putting the Senatorial District in the map of Nigeria and the world.
The Senator’s Bill for the Establishment of a Federal University of Technology, Ikot Abasi has scaled through second reading, while the senator has also sponsored a Bill for the establishment of a Federal Medical Centre in Akwa Ibom South, and a Bill for the establishment of a Federal University of Medical Sciences in Eket.
The senator as understood is also working for the take-off of the University of Maritime Studies, Oron.
These remarkable achievements by the Mkpat Enin born legal expert turned politician has endeared him to the people and has further cement his status as a representative whose desire is to impact effectively on the people of the Senatorial District and by the extension, Akwa Ibom State.
