Nigerian students have been urged to tap from relevant practical experiences in their various areas of educational endeavors to enable the making of balanced contributions to the growth and development of society.
The Leader, Abia State House of Assembly, Hon Okoro Uchenna Kalu gave this charge when students of the Political Science Department, Abia State University paid him a courtesy visit during their excursion to the Abia State House of Assembly.
Hon Okoro Uchenna Kalu, who is also House Committee Chairman on Education further noted that reasonable positive differences can be made in the socio-political environment when experiences gathered are translated to actionable plans to deepen positive causes of action particularly as concerns political development.
Earlier in his remarks, the Head of Department, Political Science, Abia State University, Dr Udoh Ogbonna said the Undergraduates embarked on the excursion to deepen Democracy and to juxtapose theoretical knowledge with practical experience to ensure a credible balance.
The Staff Adviser, Political Science Department, Abia State University, Dr Allens Iheonu in his contribution said the visit will foster a spring of synergy and a quantum leap targeted at engendering proper positioning for the students in their future endeavors, describing the interface as timely.
Hon Emeka Obioma, Whip of the 8th Assembly and House Committee Chairman on Health, Hon Chinasa Anthony of Umuahia Central State Constituency and House Committee Chairman on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Agbasiere Wilfred, the Students’ Governor and his Deputy, Vincent Chinenye Joy, among other students of the Political Science Department, Abia State University were present during the visit.
