The widow, who reportedly lost her husband some years ago, had struggled to survive with her five children, endured dire living conditions until this life-changing intervention by the Governor.
Represented by the Commissioner for Science and Digital Economy, Prof. Imoh U. Moffat, the Governor officially handed over the house documents along with a business support grant of 500,000 naira to the beneficiary.
The Governor reassured the people of his administration’s continuous commitment to improving the well-being of vulnerable persons in the State. He stated that the Compassionate Homes Initiative is designed to benefit most vulnerable citizens, regardless of political affiliation.
In her remarks, Wife of the Minister for Petroleum (Gas), Lady Esitmbom Ekperikpo Ekpo, described Governor Umo Eno as divinely sent to bring hope to the hopeless.
